BMW Car Magazine Forum Wales Challenge - March 2003
Stage 4: Round and round Wales, back to Betws-y-Coed

Some people pictures from lunchtime. Below, nearest table clockwise from bottom left:
AlphinaB84.6, Paul, Vix, Kilo (stupid expression again!), BmwQueenie.

Woody's brother (Chris?), Woody, BenLuker, MGO.

Eminence's son, AndyCoupe's friend (Dave?), AndyCoupe, Eminence, Jeff Spangle.

Vix and Eminence's son seeing who could aggrevate everyone else more by playing a sweet whistle...

Then out to the car park for more exciting photo opportunities.

From here, more mountain road bashing occurred. Eminence was the first to have to go home. AndyCoupe had a tankslapping incident which convinced him to call it quits, and Woody's clutch reminded him it was home time too. Still, at least he brought a proper car at last.

The seven of us then took to the most minor roads we could find. There were gates to be opened and closed, floods to be navigated and more incredible roads. The wind and rain never let up, but were joined by fog and nightfall, so we decided it was beer o' clock and headed back to Sweaty.

175 miles were covered. Simply the best day's driving I've done since.... since.... well the Lakes trip I suppose. Ben and I received a good deal of gratitude and enthusiasm to do it again. Alpina and Paul had to both make their way home at this stage, but we did find Kev328sport and his wife (pictured below) in time for dinner and drinks.

Still we enjoyed plenty of food:

and after enough alcohol, Vix decided to display her nut munching skills:
